Our Review
As its name suggests, this hotel used to be an actual courthouse and makes good use of its original features to create a traditional atmosphere. Guests particularly like the bar and the friendly service.
Once an actual courthouse, the Courthouse Hotel's Grade II listed building retains much of the splendour of the original property, with a number of quirky features. The lobby is bright and welcoming with a dark wood reception desk. The 116 well-appointed guestrooms range from the delightful penthouse suite through to surprisingly spacious standard accommodation. All rooms have marble bathrooms and king-size beds that can easily be converted into superior twins. The hotel’s cuisine ranges from traditional afternoon teas served in the "Waiting Room", to modern French in the "Carnaby Brasserie" and Italian, Middle Eastern and Asian tasting dishes in "Silk". There is also a unique rooftop bar, offering a retreat from the noise and traffic of Soho and the surrounding area. Further tranquillity is available in "Sanook", the cocoon-like, below-ground health spa. In addition to all of this, the hotel boasts one of London's largest private cinemas.
