Upgraded to executive room, and room was lovely. Extremely clean, good size. Wonderful bathroom, beds very comfortable. Had lunch in bar - which was reasonably priced. Very helpful and friendly staff.

The hotel had lost one of my registrations and I subsequently had to wait 45 mins for it to be sorted out. In the end they had failed to book us in and we were given a superior room as they accepted the mistake was theirs. Also they need more staff at check out time and their service charge and bar prices are excessive.
Top Tip
Ideal for Regents Park.
Great Portland St Tube station is not disabled friendly. Unless you are a millionaire find a local pub in which to have a drink.(two nearby)not the hotel

i booked an upgraded room to an executive from a classic for my daughter and son in laws first wedding anniversary as a present to them.On arrival they were given a smoking room after i had specifically requested a non smoking room as neither of 6them are smokers and earlier that day they had been to the hospital and been confirmed as pregnant with their first child. They asked to be moved as the room smelt so badly and were told that there were no other rooms but that they would send a maid up to spray the room but this never happened. I contactd Ingrida on reception who i made the original booking with and she said she would move them the next day. She offered no apology for the mix up and hung up on me. The move the next day was made late into the evening and the room was quite dirty, i paid over £350.00 for this weekend suprise that was anything but, it was a huge disappointment. There is much lacking in the way of manners and hospitality of the check in and reservation staff at this hotel, they are all unable to speak fluent English so making a reservation is a total nightmare. The simplist of requests is indeed a struggle for them. foreign staff who could not get right the simplist of rquests and do not know the difference in smoking and non smoking rooms.Hard to make them understand what you are asking of them.
Reservations at the hotel over the phone was dreadful.

The room was small especially the bathroom area - note that the bath was quite high and could be dangerous for older people or suffering a minor disability. In addition we noted up grades has far more superior toiletries.

Excellent pubs/eateries nearby. Two undergrounds and buses.

The pub just behind the hotel. The Queens Head and Artichoke, does excellent food, especially the huge selection of tapas.

We have stayed here several times before and have found it eminently satisfactory. The buffet breakfast is particularly good and the staff are excellent.

Eat at the nearby 'Great Nepalese' in Eversholt Street. It is cheap and very good. Stick to the Nepalese menu, which is better than the Indian. Set meals are good value. Bottled 'London Pride' goes well with the food.
Walking in Regents Park is very pleasant.

The service and standard of the hotel was excellent. Our only disappointment was that the bathroom was extremely small. Cleanliness of the hotel and friendliness/service of the staff was second to none.
