The Tavistock Hotel is housed in a smart,1950s-style building with a red brick façade and a few subtle Art Deco touches. The medium sized lobby displays some more subtle Art deco features and is decorated in a warm colour scheme that features a predominance of browns, creams and gold. The 343 compact guestrooms are rather featureless with white walls and ill assorted, slightly outdated furniture. Both the rooms and the bathrooms are in fair condition. A sizeable bar adjoins the lobby and leads in turn to the restaurant, which is light and simply but attractively decorated with light wooden furniture.
